  12. ▄ Welcome to  the worlds best  collection of art and entertainment  from the ▄
  13. ▄ digital underground. For exploring the SCENE 96 CD it's recommended to use ▄
  14. ▄ this great graphical user interface (GUi). It's exclusively coded for this ▄
  15. ▄ cd-rom to help you managing this huge amount of software ( 1300 mb ). This ▄
  16. ▄ info file leads you through the usage of the GUi, though it's very easy to ▄
  17. ▄ use and nearly self-explaining. ZYKLOP wishes you great fun and enjoyment! ▄

  20. ▄  SYSTEM REQUiREMENTS                                                       ▄
  21. ▄                                                                            ▄
  22. ▄ To  run  the GUi you need at least  a PC 386 (with co-pro), 4 MB RAM and a ▄
  23. ▄ VESA compatible graphic card. Additionally a soundcard is highly recommen- ▄
  24. ▄ ded (GRAViS ULTRASOUND is the best!).                                      ▄

  27. ▄  HOW TO USE THE GUi                                                        ▄
  28. ▄                                                                            ▄
  29. ▄ The whole GUi can be used by keyboard  AND  by mouse. The  main screen is  ▄
  30. ▄ divided into several fields. In the middle there are the file windows. In  ▄
  31. ▄ the left window you can change the directories and the disc drives 'n the  ▄
  32. ▄ right file window is made  to choose the files in the  topical directory.  ▄
  33. ▄ To change between both windows just push <TAB> or click with mouse cursor  ▄
  34. ▄ on the desired window.                                                     ▄
  35. ▄ On right of the main screen you'll find six buttons. You can either click  ▄
  36. ▄ 'em to activate their special function  or you can press <F1> ... <F6> on  ▄
  37. ▄ your keyboard. These functions are integrated:                             ▄
  38. ▄                                                                            ▄
  39. ▄  <F1> - "iNFO" shows this iNFO in the selected language ( GERMAN/ENGLiSH ) ▄
  40. ▄                                                                            ▄
  41. ▄  <F2> - "RUN" for running EXE and COM files, viewing all available graphic ▄
  42. ▄         formats, playing all supported music formats and showing info- and ▄
  43. ▄         text files with the integrated text viewer. All other files (those ▄
  44. ▄         which have other extensions) will be displayed as a text file.     ▄
  45. ▄         The SCENE 96 CD GUi supports the following file formats:           ▄
  46. ▄                                                                            ▄
  47. ▄   EXE, COM  -  executables                                                 ▄
  48. ▄   TXT, DOC, NFO, DiZ  -  text files (displayed with the intgrated viewer)  ▄
  49. ▄   ANS, RiP, XB  -  ansi, rip and xbin files (displayed with ACiDViEW )     ▄
  50. ▄   MOD, S3M, DMF, XM, MDL  -  music files (played with CUBiC PLAYER)        ▄
  51. ▄   PCX, JPG, GiF, LBM, iFF, BMP, TGA  -  graphic files (displayed with SEA) ▄
  52. ▄                                                                            ▄
  53. ▄   The GUi supports even more sound  and graphic files, but not all of them ▄
  54. ▄   are used on this cd. So it's useful for exploring other cds 'n hds, too! ▄
  55. ▄                                                                            ▄
  56. ▄  <F3> - "COPY" to copy a single file to a specified path on your harddisc. ▄
  57. ▄                                                                            ▄
  58. ▄  <F4> - "GREETS" shows a long list of greetings and thanks using a very    ▄
  59. ▄         nice letter effect to display 'em - push any key to continue...    ▄
  60. ▄                                                                            ▄
  61. ▄  <F5> - "iNSTALL" to copy all files of the topical directory to a          ▄
  62. ▄         specified path (can be entered like in the "COPY" function).       ▄

  64. ▄  <F6> - "CREDiTS" shows who is responsible for the cd-rom and the GUi.     ▄
  65. ▄                                                                            ▄
  66. ▄ To leave an opened text window just press <ESC>, the right mouse button or ▄
  67. ▄ push the <EXiT> button  on the top  of the screen. To leave the GUi itself ▄
  68. ▄ either press <ESC> or push the mentioned <EXiT> button on the top.         ▄
